I am so excited to get books for the young men that I serve. I wanted to share about the impact that donated books make... Right now, I have a young man in my office. He just lost his mother and 16-year-old sister in a car accident on Christmas. There were literally tears in his eyes as he came into my office. As we talked, I realized that I had a few donated books that I could share with him. Here in jail, these young men have so very little that they can truly call their own. Yet, since I have books to give them, I am able to bring him comfort and make a difference. And I am so grateful to everyone who makes up the UPMI team, so very grateful indeed."
So on behalf of the 800 young men between the ages of 18 to 24 that I work with ~ thank you so very, very much. Thank you for your time....and the care that you give to those who so dearly need it. Have a very blessed 2024.
