Tomlin, Bysheen, Warden writes

Tomlin, Bysheen, Warden writes:

“This letter is written concerning the benefits of having the UPMI ministry here at the Bibb County Correctional Facility.

Having UPMI at the facility serves several needs and purposes it effects the thought process as well as the physical processes of the inmate population.

Inmates learn how to study the scriptures as well grow in a fellowship of like-minded believers in which they encourage and support the growth of each other.

Inmates learn the benefits of healthy eating and the negative effects of unhealthy foods.

The UPMI volunteers are great role models, encouraging the inmates helping them too believe they can achieve their goals.

With the help of UPMI we anticipate sharing the message of hope and physical well-being this summer with our entire inmate population of 1800 inmates.”

Bibb County Correctional Facility is the 2nd largest institution for men in the State of Alabama.

Chaplain Greg

“I am the Asst. Chaplain at Anchorage Correctional Complex in Alaska. We have 800-900 male inmates in this facility and we have no budget for religious materials. Would you be willing to donate soft-cover books or other materials to assist Chaplain Gerald Silliman and myself in the Gospel work here? If so, please let me know how to proceed. Thank you and may our Lord bless all you do in His Name!”

Krystal

Dear UPMI,

I am currently incarcerated in Maryland's Institution for Women in Jessup. I picked up a copy of your "Desire of Ages" and I absolutely love it! I cannot put this book down. It is amazing. It gives me more understanding in the events recorded in God's Word. I am 28 years old and I've been incarcerated for a year and have 6 years to go. I know God has forgiven my transgressions in life and I am most thankful to know God. Please send me more literature.

Thank You Very Much and God Bless!

Krystal inmate in Jessup, Maryland

Joshua

Dear Sisters/Brothers In Christ,

My name is Joshua. I am a inmate in the Arkansas Department of Corrections. I have had a very blessed year. My life hit rock bottom which no one would help me. I tried to get help everyway that I knew how. I gave up trying to get help, then I opened my Bible that you sent me and started reading it for the first time. I prayed to our Father in heaven for the first time in years. After I had sat in this cell for months, I found the help that I needed through studying Gods Word. Thank you.

Chaplain Ramos, Yuma, Arizona

100 Spanish "Bible Questions Answered" were shipped to Chaplain Ramos, please read letter below:

"I've been using the English "What the Bible Says" and giving Bible studies to the prisoners (up to sometimes 40 inmates in a class), but I have run out of Spanish "Bible Questions Answered" booklets.  Is it possible to please send me some in Spanish? These books are a great blessing. I love these books because they give you the whole Bible truth and the inmates are enjoying them.

Thank you so very much and may God continue to bless your ministry for what you are doing."

God bless, Chaplain Ramos, Yuma, Arizona.

Calvey in Oklahoma

"I am currently at a work release program at Turley Correctional Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  We are Christians, some of us new, and would like to have some of these books sent to us. Not all of us have jobs, and as for myself, I only work 3 days a week. Half of that goes to TRC. Then 1/4 goes to fines and savings, then the rest is for food and transportation. So any of these books you would like us to have, we would greatly appreciate having them mailed to us."
